Richard recently returned from a three year stint in the United Kingdom as Vice President of International Business and Sales for Turning Technologies LLC (QH: Ohio, USA). Richard was responsible for the go-to market strategies of the company, specifically growing the international business and implementing and international business model and channel. Turning Technologies has won numerous awards including; the fastest growing privately held software company in America in 2007 and 15th in 2008.

Richard’s working career started in 1984 with Ernst and Young (EY). During his ten years with EY, he became Senior Manager in the Corporate Recovery and Insolvency Unit, participated in national audit assignments and was also a trainer for the national graduate intake for the Business Advisory Services.

In 1994 he established his own partnership with an EY partner. Richard spent five years as a partner in this firm. During this time he served as a national representative of his local branch chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (New Zealand) and served on several national committees.

In 1999 Richard saw a market opportunity with Interactive PowerPoint. This business evolved into KEEpad, now the largest provider of keypad sales, hire and consulting in Australasia and is recognized as ‘best in class’ internationally by its peers. Until 2005 Richard successfully developed KEEpad into one of Turning Technologies key distributors and seconded the management of the business/effective sale to LUL Group.

Ashley has been involved in the audit and assurance industry for the previous eight years, with the most recent five years specialising in audit and compliance education and quality control. Ashley currently holds the position of Director of WPIAS Training Academy Pty Ltd, an audit, accounting and corporate governance training provider. Ashley has extensive experience training auditors, finance managers and university students.

Prior to joining WPIAS Training Academy, Ashley was employed with CPA Australia in the Quality Assurance Department where he was responsible for developing CPA Australia’s quality control manuals, procedures and questionnaires. This role also required Ashley to train the Peer Reviewers on complying with Australian Auditing Standards and Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards.
